Rise of Humanity Wiki

The Totem, also known as the Totem Pattern Cultivation system, mainly utilized by the Human Race of the Great Wilderness on Ancestral Star. Its subcategories are the Totem God Pillars and the Totem Spirits, the spirits of reality.

Description[]

Origins[]

Great Sui, Long Shezi: The ancestor of Yanzi Clan and Fuxi Race is the first Heavenly Monarch and the Sui Sovereign, the Great Sui. He is the child of Leize and Huaxu and the creator of the totem pattern cultivation system. Founded the Fire Order Era.

Totem Pattern[]

When one's psyche is improved, the totem can mark one's body with its pattern, strengthening and improving cultivation during and before the Qi Practitioner period.

Totem God Pillars[]

A few of outer hall disciples were holding totem god pillars carved with strange figures anointed with the blood of exotic beasts. These carvings are the totem pillars.

In the Great Wilderness, totem pillars were the god pillars that were used for purposes of worship in the human tribes. These pillars had magnificent effects when it came to nourishing souls and cultivation.

In most cases, only upper-class tribes were qualified to possess any totem pillars.

Such totem pillars could only be crafted by Qi Practitioners, which meant they were accessible by those tribes with Qi Practitioners. Meanwhile, the spirit that was cultivated by Qi Practitioners was also a type of totem, called the totem spirit.

The spirit and the totem were tightly related. If a tribe’s Qi Practitioner's totem spirit was a mystical tortoise, then the totem of the entire tribe would also be that particular mystical tortoise. If the entire tribe worshipped the mystic tortoise totem, the Qi Practitioner’s strength would also be increased.

On the other hand, tribes that did not have any Qi Practitioners would naturally have no totem god pillars. The Zhong Shan tribe that Zhong Yue originated from was one of the smallest tribes of a population less than 100, so they did not possess any treasures like totem god pillars.[1]

Multiple totem pillars can be used to establish formations.[2] These are based on the Chinese constellations.[3]

Totem Spirits[]

"The mountains have mountain spirits, the rivers have river spirits, the trees have tree spirits, the grasses have grass spirits, the clouds have cloud spirits, the winds have wind spirits, the golds have gold spirits, the earth has earth spirits, the moon has moon spirits, and the sun has sun spirits! Sense and manifest one of the spirits from nature and you can then manifest a related spirit in your psyche ocean! These spirits, are the totem spirits, the spirits of worships! It has been a long time since the residents of the Great Wilderness worshipped the majestic mountains, great waters, godly trees, spirit grasses, clouds and winds, sun and moon. Over time, spirituality emerged within the nature that we worship, people that possess a strong soul could sense and manifest the spirituality of nature within their body! Only with the spirit, can one become a Qi Practitioner! The soul and spirit combine together to form the atman of a human, the Yuan Shen!"[4]
